About the Treatment
Women usually produce one egg per cycle. In Natural Cycle IVF the development of the egg is carefully monitored by ultrasound and blood tests. When the egg is mature it is aspirated under the guidance of ultrasound. The woman usually has mild sedation during the procedure. The single egg can be fertilised to create an embryo, or the egg can be frozen until more eggs are collected.
It is sometimes preferable to perform a few natural cycles to collect more eggs, therefore increasing chances for viable embryos. In Natural Cycle IVF there is however a greater chance of cancellation due to premature ovulation or hormone levels not being optimal. Our specialist can advise you if this is a suitable option for you.

Is Natural Cycle IVF right for you?
This treatment is designed for women who may not be suited to conventional IVF or who prefer a gentler approach. You may be a good candidate if you:
Do not respond well to hormonal stimulation
Are very sensitive to fertility medication
Have endometriosis or low ovarian reserve
Have a history of hormone-related cancer
Prefer a natural approach with minimal drugs
How Natural IVF Works
Cycle Monitoring
Your natural cycle is tracked with ultrasounds and blood tests.
Egg Retrieval
When the egg is mature, it is collected under mild sedation.
Fertilisation
The egg is fertilised with sperm in the lab to create an embryo.
Transfer or Freezing
The embryo is transferred to the womb or frozen for future use.
Frequently asked Questions
No, most women find it very manageable. The egg retrieval is done under mild sedation, so you’ll feel comfortable throughout the procedure.
Every woman is unique. Some succeed in one cycle, while others may need a few tries. The benefit of Natural Cycle IVF is that it can be safely repeated every month.
It’s a gentler approach. Instead of using strong medications to produce many eggs, we follow your body’s natural rhythm and focus on one egg at a time.
Yes. If the egg fertilises successfully, the resulting embryo can either be transferred immediately or frozen for a future cycle.
Quickly. Because this is a natural approach without heavy stimulation, most women can repeat the treatment the very next month.
