Aphrodite Egg Bank, the in-house egg bank of Pedieos IVF Center, has published a new two-centre evaluation of clinical outcomes using vitrified donor oocytes.
The report follows two experienced fertility centres and examines how laboratory familiarity with the warming and handling of vitrified oocytes can influence post-thaw survival and treatment outcomes. The results show a clear learning curve: as the laboratory teams gained experience, oocyte survival improved and subsequently stabilised at consistently high levels.
Across the two centres, fertilisation rates reached 76.2% and 81%, while positive pregnancy rates following fresh embryo transfer were 56.7% and 58%. The findings demonstrate the importance of combining high-quality donor oocytes with trained embryologists, carefully controlled laboratory procedures and consistent monitoring.
