As of July 3rd, 2024, the Cyprus government funding scheme has changed to enable more individuals experiencing infertility to seek help. The scheme now includes several significant changes.
The funding for the first cycle of treatment, which includes egg retrieval, artificial insemination, and embryo transfer, is increased to €4,500 against receipts, compared to the previous amount of €3,500.
The funding for the second cycle of treatment, which includes egg retrieval, artificial insemination, and embryo transfer, is increased to €3,500 against receipts, compared to the previous amount of €2,500.
Women undergoing treatment through cryopreserved eggs are subsidised with an amount up to €2,000 against receipts to cover the cost of artificial insemination and embryo transfer, whereas previously, the amount was €500 and only covered embryo transfer.
The application for the grant must be submitted within four (4) months from the date of the medically assisted reproductive method.
